Who writes DogWise

Last updated: September 2026

DogWise is written and edited by an independent editorial team. Each published article has a person accountable for it: we research, write, review and correct the pages on this site.

We are not a veterinary clinic, hospital or pet shop. We do not diagnose, prescribe or treat animals by article or email.

The public contact for editorial responsibility is the address on our Contact page. If something is wrong, outdated or unclear, we want to fix it.

What you can expect from a DogWise article

A real everyday problem (not a generic encyclopedia page).

What to observe at home, what not to do, and when a veterinarian matters.

Plain language. If a technical term is needed, we explain it in the next sentence.

External links to serious sources when they help the reader — not invented studies or fake experts.

Health topics

Articles in Health are educational. They do not replace an exam, diagnosis or treatment plan for your dog.

We do not invent personal clinical cases to sound like an authority. When evidence is limited, we say so.

Urgent signs (collapse, labored breathing, inability to urinate, repeated vomiting) mean seek care now — not wait for another article.
